Somebody Call 911 or the Elders

Haha Family!! A solid week of putting in the work in the Lord's vineyard of XiaoGang.

One cool thing from this week was teaching an Indian man named Saroj in English! Very very interesting. hahaha. I definitely thought about Elder Kap on the other side of the Great Wall in India. Kinda cool!! One thing he said I thought was deep is that "love is devotion" which he said he learned from an old guru in India that only drank alcohol and only ate meat. haha. But think about it. He also said "I don't commit to anything" which makes it difficult for God to work with him...oh well. We gave him a Book of Mormon though.

I've been thinking about accountability and how really some of the only things we can control is our hustle and attitude, just like in baseball. At the end of the day I've been trying to be accountable to God about my hustle that day and having a good attitude. It's been a good exercise!

On Friday night the Sisters thought there was a boogie man in their apartment, even though they live on the 10th floor of a HUGE complex that even has a security guard when you walk in, but better safe than sorry. So they called us to check it out for them!! hahaha. No problems. They had a rough day.

Sister Chen, our investigator, introduced us to her English class of 8th graders!! She is so amazing. Sharing-gospel machine. That was fun cuz they gave us gifts and wrote us a card and we didn't even know them! Miracle about her husband!! She texted us yesterday and said her husband wanted to read the Book of Mormon and come check out our church!!! WHOA!! That is ssooo cool. Brother Cai had a relatively rough week and is gonna need to have his bap. date pushed back. But at least he's not giving up!!

I've really loved Elder Quinton L. Cook's talk from last conference about Foundations of Faith this week. Loved it all. You should go read it!! So many cool points he makes. I especially liked when he shared about the woman with an issue of blood from the New Testament. I think there's a lot of symbolism/a relationship with that story and us as we partake of the sacrament each week, reaching up in faith for the Lord's virtue and power to enter into our lives for the week. Maybe you can think about what some other similarities are.

Gotta love it!! And I love all of you!! Have a great week!
