Day and Night

Helllooo!! Wow! This week was just straight miracles!! Complete opposite from last week cuz it seemed like everyone wanted to talk with us! So cool.

It started off last Tuesday where everyone seemed to be interested. We found lots of new potential investigators and randomly came across 2 potential investigators from 2 months ago and they both set up on the spot! It was pretty incredible. Later that night I ate the famous stinky tofu and grilled chicken from the local night market like a real Taiwanese.

We had 72-hour kit checks and lots of stuff had to be replaced, which means we get to snack on a bajillion expired granola bars and crackers!! Also, a tour bus driver had speakers on his bus so he could like yell at people outside or something. Anyways, when he saw us biking past him he just started yelling "American! American! American!!" in super funny english while waving at us. It just never gets old.

We've been seeing absolute miracles as we use the Book of Mormon and strive to be obedient to our mission president's counsel (we learned a ton in zone conference! Pres. Teh is the best). We placed a Book of Mormon with an 86 year old man from mainland China. He's so sick! His name is Mr. Hu. I invited him read Alma 40. Go read it to know why that's a little humorous. It's just the first thing that came to mind! First responder!!

We also had a lesson with a guy named David who seemed like he was legit already a member of the church. He had never prayed before because he didn't know which way to pray was correct, and I got to witness his first prayer and it was the most real, beautiful thing ever. The Spirit was brought. "Prayer" in the bible dictionary talks about how "as soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are His children), then at once prayer becomes natural and instinctive on our part. Many of the so-called difficulties about prayer arise from forgetting this relationship." David helped remind me of that important truth. Go read the rest of what the bible dictionary says about prayer cuz it's super good. "Prayer is a form of work and is an appointed means for obtaining the highest of all blessings." I know the power of prayer is real. Heavenly Father loves us and wants to hear from us! I love being able to teach this. Church is true!!

Yeah, just some small highlights from a huge week. Hope you all have a great week!

Love ya!!! FIGHT ON!!
