Take Me to Funky Town

HEY FAM!! I don't have a ton of time this week so this email's nothing exciting, but I'm moving to GaoXiong's very own Xiao Gang!! I heard Gaoxiong is Taiwan's most populated city after Taibei, so this is going to be a VERY different experience! I'm excited!!

This week was filled with cool crazy things: we ate lunch at a hotel and it was high class all-you-can-eat stuff. That picture of the plate of food was my third helping of the fish section. And I went on exchanges with Elder Fruehan in Xihu! Got bible-bashed which was a new experience. Contention definitely drives away the Spirit. We ate the famous-to-Xihu Lamb meat hot pot. Really pretty good! We were taken to LuGang and it was super fun and super crowded -like Disneyland but without the rides. Checked out some ancient Buddhist temples. Really cool stuff! AND I was told I look like a young Mat Damon. All white people must look the same...

It was bitter-sweet to pack up and leave my friends and family here. They were really so so so good to me. Hard to say good-bye to everyone at church and the 3 musketeers! They're super solid!

As cliche as it sounds, because of Jesus Christ, there really is no such thing as good-bye. That thought was comforting me as I was packing up. The people we come across and associate with are not by happen stance. I believe the Lord is in the details of our lives. And even though people come and go, because of the Plan of Salvation and the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can see each other again! "...the sting of [good-bye] is swallowed up in Christ" (Mosiah 16:8) So true! By the way, Abinadi absolutely lays it down on the atonement when he speaks in front of King Noah and his priests. Go check it out! It's super good.

'Till next week! Have a good one! FIGHT ON!!

Love ya!!!
