Not a lot of time cuz it's NEW YEARS and we're going to eat some all-you-can-eat barbeque!
Great things happening here in Daya. Yesterday, something that was less great happened. Learn from our mistakes. We planned to visit a former investigator who literally lives as far away as you could live in our area. We didn't call him and set up or anything. Just thought we could make one of those surprise missionary visits. About half way there I had an impression to call him! And ignored it. That's rough to admit. Anyways, we got there and 2 big dogs come at us and the house was hidden behind a bunch of trees. Finally decided to call him. Turned out he's a 4 hour train ride from us to celebrate New Years. It would've been too easy to just call him in the first place and not waste that time. hahahaha. Good thing we can all laugh about it now, right?
I went on exchanges to Tanzi this week with Elder Peterson. WOW!! They're killing it. That was great times. They're in a 4 man, and it was super fun!
Other than that, President Hinckley said this about moving forward with faith. "If there is any one thing that you and I need , ...[it is] the kind of faith that moves us to get on our knees and plead witht he Lord for guidance, and then, having a measure of divine confidence, get on our feet and go to work to help bring the desired results to pass. The challenge which faces every member of this Church is to take the next step, to accept that responsibility to which he is called, even though he does not feel equal to it and to do so in faith with the full expectation that the Lord will light the way before him....This precious and marvelous gift of faith, this gift from God our Eternal Father, is still the strength of this work and the quiet vibrancy of its message. Faith underlies it all. Faith is the substance of it all...I invite everyone of of you...to stand on your feet and with a song in your heart move forward, living the gospel, loving the Lord, and building the kingdom. Together we shall stay the course and keep the faith, the Almighty being our strength."
