We had zone conference and exchanges and more exchanges and getting ready for a giant ward activity that ended being us 4 missionaries in charge of it all and .....? But let me tell ya, dominating Satan is such a satisfying feeling. For real.
So the ward activity that the missionaries put on: We had a pot luck dinner, for which Elder Councill made some delicious banana bread, and then everybody basically reenacted the Plan of Salvation, minus a few parts. haha. Everyone was in an airplane crash and died and 2 angels came and gave us a tour of the after-life. It was so fun!! We had some members pretend like they were in the Spirit world, receiving judgment, and living in the 3 kingdoms of glory all throughout our chapel. It was a lot of work, but so much fun!! And a huge success! They want to do it again as part of the Christmas activity.
One of our investigators, Brother Liu, passed his baptismal interview so he'll be getting baptized this Saturday. He had a stroke a while back which really humbled him. His faith is just SO HUGE. He's awesome.
This Sunday was the primary program and the kids were so cute. One of the songs they sang was "I'm Trying to be Like Jesus" and when I really thought about those lyrics, I was overcome a little! I love that song and I think it can kind of be a theme song for the Gospel. We're striving to improve and be more and more like the "prototype of salvation", Jesus Christ. In His infinite mercy He provided a way to do it -repentance. What a blessing! Not always easy, but we're TRYING. Go read Elder Holland's talk on this subject from last conference. He says it better than I could.
