First of all, thanks to everybody for all the birthday wishes!!! Definitely feeling the love and it's much appreciated!
The birthday week miracles just didn't stop! Holy cow. Sister Wang, our investigator with a baptismal goal for November 11 got an answer that the Book of Mormon is true!! She's amazing. She reads at least a chapter in it every day. Another investigator whose English name is Fang just felt like the right thing to do was quit his job so he can come to church in November!
Friday the 13th was the most insane day of my entire life. In the morning we met a hardcore Buddhist lady who insisted she could change the weather by pleading with God and she believed she's been to 4 other Earths before this one. We ate sushi rolls with fuzzy meat for breakfast. Elder Huff started a fire in the microwave and the smoke alarm went off so we had to air out the apartment, had an amazing lesson with Sister Wang, and an LA called us just to tell us it was Friday the 13th. And that night before dinner I talked to 2 very interesting people near a college. Elder Huff thought I handled it well. haha. AND that night we met Mr. Chen who we met with again Saturday morning and came to church the day after that and really liked it!! WHOA!! We're stoked about him.
I had a grand and glorious birthday, making a stop at the famous Wu Feng curry rice place for lunch and being sure to eat me some double-patty peanut butter burgers for dinner. We also found a couple new investigators.
My bike needs new brakes BAD. It was not this bad a week ago I swear. That's on the agenda for the day.
I know that the Book of Mormon is true. I saw Sister Wang had read through Jacob 5 and I thought she probably struggled through it. I asked her how reading it went and she said that Jacob 5 was the most spiritual part for her. She showed me a new way to look at it: getting rid of the bad fruits in our lives and replacing them with good fruits through the atonement of Jesus Christ. The Holy Ghost truly knows where each of us are at and "the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do."
