Well family and friends, this has been one fun but hard week at the MTC! I just gotta say, I love it here!
The food here is.. good! I like it a lot! I mean it tastes good but it doesn't make you feel good!
I always remember to drink a glass of the delicious chocolate milk a day. I love that dang chocolate milk!
I always say, "OH MAN!" Whenever anything exciting happens.. but here we are commanded to call everyone Elder or Sister.. So that has been one of the most difficult adjustments.
THE MTC IS AWESOME! I was super duper lucky to get blessed with an awesome companion! He is this way relaxed rugby farm boy that is also a pilot and a certified scuba diver! I am not even lying! He has accomplished so many cool things in his life! He is just about the same age as me too. I am only 17 days older.
I was given the assignment to be a District leader. It has been awesome serving the missionaries in my district! We all love each other and are so tight because of the experiences we've had together already! And it's only been a week!
Spanish is going really well, I feel like I can remember everything I have ever learned about Spanish here in the MTC. It is so weird but so awesome! The Spirit is real and totally helps me speak Spanish!
I have gotten to teach a few investigators.. and only in Spanish. It has been an adventure! Some lessons have been incredible.. others not so much! But through the ups and downs I have grown to really like it here.
I know my mission will be the hardest thing I have ever done.. but when the bad moments come I remember all the amazing ones I've already had and it makes up for it!
The end will justify the pain it takes to get us there =)
I want you all to know that it is so important that we really remember to love what we do and who we come across! In the scriptures it says for us to come unto Christ and repent, we need to repent! And we can only repent if we have a broken heart and a contrite spirit!
Your heart can only be broken if you love =)
So, love God!! Love his commandments! Know they are there to help make more of you and guide you to a happier life! And work hard to trust in God, and when you trust in Him and love Him.. Your heart will be broken when you don't obey Him!
Do not pray for an easier life, pray to be a stronger person. Do not pray for tasks equal to your power, pray for power equal to your tasks!
Hurrah for Israel!
