Dear friends and family,It is so good to log on to email and here about you home. I miss good old Farmington, New Mexico but I am enjoying the east coast of Argentina a lot. I never get tired of the beauty here!
Anyways, this week was wonderful. I am loving life! On Monday, I went to Quilmes.. a city about four hours from here. There, I did paperwork so that I could remain here in Argentina and not get deported. The paperwork was paperwork, but the trip was excellent!
On the way up, Elder Sosa, Elder Araneda, Elder Toomey, Elder Beers, Hermana Lopez, Hermana Winfield, and I all piled into one car. We talked and laughed and ate Argentine cookies. It was a trip to remember. We played a lot of "Would you Rather?" For the record Elder Smith, everybody prefers to fight the Horse Sized Duck.
When we reached Quilmes we Elders spent the night with the zone leaders in Quilmes. In the morning we were with President Nunez and the office elders. Elder Sosa and I learned that we can have Mate in the apartment from President! Anyways, At 1 we ate lunch with President, the office missionaries, and the new missionaries that had just arrived! It turns out Elder Smith, my companion from the MTC, is training! I got to see that sly dog with his yellow vest. There is no doubt in my mind that he is ready to change the life of that new missionary he is going to train!
Anyways, Tuesday night I came back to the coast and worked here again. On Thursday Elder Sosa and I bought all we needed for Mate [the Argentine herbal drink].. and all this weekend we have been drinking Mate. It is addicting and delicious! No wonder the Argentines sit outside drinking it all day.
I love you all! Carry on and be strong my friends!
