Snake Bite

Dear Friends and Family,This week was an adventure! I called the elders in Mar de Ajo to ask them how they are, and things are going well there! My old investigators are having some problems, but are beginning to progress. They need to get married though! Besides that, the Elders in my old area are finding new people! It is great.

Here in El Parque, Elder Aguirre and I found new investigators. We have found a lot the past few weeks, and it has been a wild ride. I am so sunburnt! Yesterday, we found two new people and they are excellent. I'm really excited about them. They gave us orange crush soda, so I automatically got along great with them. Their names are Rafael and Sandra, and they are awesome.

This week while we were working we found a big snake. It was wrapped up in the pipes of a member's house so he asked us to help him kill it, because he needed to work on the pipes. As we got closer.. the snake got angry. But Elder Aguirre chopped the beast's head off.

Then he said something that surprised even me. He said, "Can we have the dead snake hermano? We want to eat it."

So, I ate snake this week. That happened. It was actually pretty dang good! Elder Aguirre is a chef. Snakes don't bite me, I bite snakes. >=)

Anyways, my thought for you all is on talents. This week in church a member taught a great lesson on talents. While I listened I learned from her: It isn't about the number of talents you do or don't have. That doesn't matter at all! All God wants is that you use what He has given you. So, go and develop your talents! Find out what you can do, what you can learn. Life is such an awesome thing if you take your time to learn something during it. Rock on my friends and family, I love you all.
Hurrah for Israel!
