Elder Gatto

Dear friends, family, and winter,I am here in Argentina, enjoying Summer now. Man, it has been hot! This week we had a lot of lessons though, so I didn't have to be in the sun too much. I still got sunburned, but it was worth it! I figure if I just give it a few more months, I am going to look Latino.

Elder Gatto and I worked hard this past week. The past transfer Elder Aguirre and I just searched and searched for investigators. We found a ton because Elder Aguirre is awesome, but we just had too many. So, this past week we have been deciding who is progressing and who isn't, we have been searching for those that really want to listen. It has been an interesting experience. Lots of the investigators are excellent and really fun people to talk to, but it's just been better for now to leave them. We are going to work hard and keep on teaching.

It has been fun to see Elder Gatto get better and better as a teacher and missionary, he is a quick learner. I love training! I just have so much fun with him. We have had some adventures and I am glad I will be with him for Christmas. We got to help out with a ward baptism this week, a kid named Lautaro got baptized. He is an 8 year old from a family of members, so we didn't teach him or anything.

Anyways, the week was pretty normal. And normal means excellent here! My thought for all of you is on obedience. Sometimes we obey only because we want something, only because people are watching, or because we are obligated by something or someone. The best reason to obey God is because we love Him and want to obey Him. When we obey out of love, we obey even when the blessings won't come instantly or even when the blessings won't come in this life. When we obey out of love, commandments aren't rules that restrict us but oportunities that God has given us to receive His strength and help. John 14:15.

I love you all and I hope you had an excellent week!Hurrah for Israel!
