Dogs of Argentina

Dear friends and family,This week was a good one! I am loving El Parque, the time has gone by quick here. It is scary how fast time is passing. It is fun being with Elder Knuth! It reminds me of my first few weeks here, when everything was new. He is a lot more surprised by the country than I was though, so I enjoy it even more. "Why are the houses made out of lego bricks? Why do they burn their trash in the street? How are there so many dogs?" He asks hard questions I can't always answer haha, but I just know he will love this country with time. It may be a lot different then the US, but I love it a lot. I just want time to slow down, I have just grown to absolutely love this country! But still, nothing can take the place of America in my heart.

This week we worked hard. It is fun training someone who is learning Spanish! He makes little funny errors sometimes or asks how to say ridiculous things when we are alone. It is amazing too to see that God is really helping him learn. He still cannot speak much, but he has almost tripled his ability to speak spanish in his time here.

We found a lot of new investigators this week and left some old ones behind. I really feel like I am starting to get the cycle of missionary work down, and that I can focus on bettering the little details of how I do things now. We found one family that is absolutely amazing, the Loker family. Right when we found the father of the family, he let us in his house. He and his wife, along with his oldest kid (who is 9) listened to us. They were hungry for what we shared, and the Spirit was there strongly. The man even came to church two days after we found him!

My thought for you all is on hope. I like to describe hope as believing something good is about to happen, no matter what your circumstance is. If we have hope, we keep going even when we can't see if we are making a difference. If we have hope, we pray with our hearts to God. If we have, we will smile. I love you and I hope you are all smiling every day and hoping! Carry on! Hurrah for Israel!
