Faith is action
Dear friends and family,I learned a lot these past few days, it really is a blessing to be here on my mission. I love it here!
I want to say thank you to everyone that sent Christmas letters and Christmas gifts! The letters are starting to get here and I love reading every one of them. It was great to hear from old seminary friends, ex-missionaries, and relatives! Really, one of the greatest gifts I have in my life is friends and family members that support me and love me. So many of my companions here in the mission don't recieve anything. No emails, no letters, no packages. I always feel really grateful when I open my email and my friends and family have said hello, I always feel great when I get letters from my dear sweet Grandma or from friends. I love you all! Thank you so much for your support and love. It reminds me day by day that I really have become who I am thanks to the great people Heavenly Father has surrounded me with.
We found a ton of new investigators this week, last week, and the week before. Needless to say, the work is keeping us running. We always have someone to go visit and we are starting to see progress in the area. After much prayer and many attempts, it is just like one day all of the blessings started pouring out. God gave us a lot of really prepared people this week and last week, and I am hoping they will reach baptism. The Loker family is progressing along well, they are incredible people. They're going to be married this month! They weren't able to come to church to due a family emergency though, so their baptism will have to be in February.
My thought for you all is on faith. If we have faith in God, we will be patient in our trials. If we have faith in God, we will keep on going when life is hard. I have really began to learn here in the mission that faith is a process. It isn't something that you just have one day or that you can express in one prayer, but faith is something that you show by how you live and act every day, every week, every month. If we have faith that following Christ will save us, we will follow Him in the good times and the bad. We will try to become more like Him no matter what the situation. I love you all and I pray that we can all continue faithfully!
Hurrah for Israel!
