This journey so far has been insane. My companion is Elder Flake, from sonora california, and he is a really cool guy. We are over the YSA ward in pretty much ALL of Jacksonville. Since it's the summer and all the colleges nearby are empty, the work is a little slow to say the least haha. It really has been quite the adjustment to get into missionary work and it is HARD. But totally worth it.
We are currently working with a kid name Ian and he has a date set for 7/29. We are super excited to see him and his testimony grow! We also went to visit a less active last week who just moved from South Carolina, and we ended up teaching his 3 roomates! it was a pretty great experience! It is definitely a culture I have never been a part of before haha. People here are pretty nice and they love Jesus so it's really nice to have something to start with. We have an appointment with all three of his roommates tomorrow so we will see how things go! they all asked for a Book of Mormon, and said they would read it. Im excited.
Im serving and living in a part of town called Mandarin, (Where all the mandarin Oranges come from), and its pretty nice, and VERY humid. It rains for about an hour everyday, but nothing like Utah rain, its like a waterfall from the sky its so rad. Being a missionary Is amazing!
I love ya'll (I have to say that now so I can fit in). I hope you know your Heavenly Father Loves you!!
