Provo MTC

Hermana Campbell and Burnett

Como es su fue?

This week has been absolutely amazing!
Wednesday I arrived at the MTC and everyone was so kind to help me! Obviously the "dork dots" work. After saying goodbye to my family I was immediately thrown into my busy schedule! Within 15 min. of saying goodbye I was in class learning Spanish! That's where I met my companions Hermana Campbell and Hermana Burnett! Hermana Burnett went to Viewmont and lives in Centerville! So cool! Crazy we never knew each other before! Hermana Campbell is from Vancouver Washington and her boyfriend is here at the MTC too! What?! I know we've run into him a couple of times! Awkward! So after class we went to dinner at 4:30! Why would I eat dinner so early? I never eat that early and so I was sure that by the end of my day I would be starving! Well after dinner my companions and I had a meeting called People and Your Purpose. We were teaching our very first day. We spent 30 min. on each person so we taught John, Kaelin, and Cicco! Cicco was the funniest guy ever! He was so shocked that families can be together forever, that he didn't believe us! Classic Cicco! That flew by and suddenly I realized it was 7! We went and met our zone leaders and they had us smell the Cream Soda Tree! It's a really weird tree! Anyone smelled it before? Anyway in our zone when we see each other in the halls we ask "Como es su fue?" which means How is your was? It makes no sense but makes it sound like we know our language. When asked that you are supposed to respond with a random word in spanish.

Thursday was packed too. We had class in the morning and did another People and Your Purpose in the afternoon! I felt like I was really struggling with English and Spanish. I could hardly get my English words right and then had to practice my Spanish. Yeah I couldn't communicate very well. It was amazing though because I was really struggling and every time I would pray before studying I could understand and it helped me speak without issues. The Lord helps us SO much! Anyway that night I met our Branch president and WOW! He is so FUNNY! I love being here so much! I can't imagine being anywhere else! I got my fridge and everything figured out for my medicine and everything that comes with that which is GREAT!

Friday we got to teach our first investigator IN SPANISH! Do I really know enough Spanish to teach a lesson! No I do not. The Holy Ghost really teaches and can work miracles! After we finished teaching we kind of had like a mini testimony meeting in class with our district and some of our Zone! I really shouldn't even call them that they are so much more! They are my family here! I love them all so much! We all went to lunch after and then picked up my packages and mail! Yay! I loved seeing the letters I got and my package of stuff I forgot! I love getting mail and emails during the week I just can't respond to them! If you want to send me mail my address is:

I honestly can't imagine being anywhere better than where I am right now! I absolutely LOVE my companions and we are so HAPPY! Even our Branch President commented that we are the happiest missionaries he's ever seen (he probably means happiest missionaries during their first week). I know I've repeated this a lot but I really love all the little things that you send me! Keep sending more! I love you all! Pictures coming soon!

Love, Hermana London

p.s. the food here is AMAZING!
