Receiving council from an apostle of the lord!🙌❤️

Wow...

I am so sorry everyone, I am the worst.

Really been slacking on taking pictures and sending out emails recently.

I guess I'll start out with explaining the title of this email. YEP, THATS RIGHT! Got to meet Elder Soares and he shared some thoughts with us and wow it was all so inspired!!! Not gonna lie, this past month I've felt like I have kinda hit a peak in my mission and have struggled with feeling like I don't have anymore to give. The words from Elder Soares were so Inspired though and they were definitely something I needed to hear.

Other than that we have been just grinding super hard with doing service and we have made a goal to get into each members home in the 2 wards that we are covering! There are over 800 members and we have met a little over 400 which is crazy, but we still got a lot more left! It's been so amazing because many of them are not active and we have been able to help many of them with strengthening their testimonies and even have got a few of them to come back to church!!

Oh we also had transfers on Wednesday and I picked up a new companion, Elder Pace and I am staying in Krum and Sanger for a 3rd transfer!!! If yall have read my last emails yall probably know I have moved around a ton in my mission so this is crazy to be in one place for this long haha. I love these wards so I'm not complaining.

I want to end this email with just bearing my testimony of the Book of Mormon! The Book of Mormon is so amazing yalll! I know that it is the word of God and was translated through a prophet of God, Joseph Smith. Elder Renlund shared a quote in the last General Conference that I just love and it says: “When we want to speak to God, we pray. And when we want Him to speak to us, we search the scriptures.” I have definitely seen this as I diligently search the scriptures for the answers to the questions that I have. It's so amazing how a scripture you have read dozens of times can mean something completely different each time you read it depending on what you need to hear at that time. Anyways, yeah the Book of Mormon is pretty sweet! If it's not something you are actively reading each day I definitely invite yall to do so because the blessings are so worth it and you can find so much direction in the Book of Mormon. I day these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I love and miss yall so much, hope yall can forgive me for the lack of emails lately🤦‍♂️

-Elder Rhodes🤠❤️
