NICOLE BENSON TURNED NICOLE WILKEY THIS WEEK. So happy for the happy New couple and for the wonderful examples they are to me!!
We are headed to ENOSHIMA today so no time!
But this week had in store miracles just like every other! We had a district blitz on Friday and were able to talk to 3 ladies who were interested in our English class! Had great conversations with them and we are excited to meet them again soon!

We had a lesson this week that I will always keep in my heart. Our investigator has struggled for years with a mental illness that makes it hard for her to function normally. We were able to sit down with her and bear testimony of God's plan for each one of us. But there is always the question of why. Why does this happen to me? Why does God not help me? Why does He not take it away? Why do I deserve this? The thing is, we don't know a lot of the Why's in life. But we do know that He can and does help us. The rest of it is based on trust. Sometimes we have to expereince the hurt to truly recognize the blessings. We don't have all the answers, and it may not be our fault that things happen to us. Russell M. Nelson talked about trials falling into 3 categories (roughly, can't remember word for word) 1. Trials caused by our own agency 2. Trials caused by the agency of others 3. Trials caused by the fact we live with imperfect people in a fallen world (example sicknesses, biology..). We will all have opportunity to ask "why me?" But as my dad always encouraged us kids, do not "poor me" and mope and wait for something to make it go away--act in the circumstances you've been given. You may not know why. You may never know why but like Preach My Gospel says, "there will be a time where we all will be backed up to the wall of our faith and there we must take our stand." We were able to help her try to recognize the things she was able to do in her current situation. Just remember that the greatsst commandment is to love God, but the greatest truth is that HE LOVES US.
Sending love and all things wonderful your way in the hoarsest of voices ever, ベンソン姉妹
