I don't even know what happened this week, it is flying by too fast!
First off.. SNOW. We got around 5 inches here which apparently is a lot for this area of Japan, so we spent a good amount of time shoveling for service on Tuesday! I have no idea why it was so fun, but it just felt good to watch all the Japanese stare at 2 foreign girls who were just smiling their heads off and laughing and trying to get them to stop and talk to us while shoveling to their hearts content.
This week as we've been streeting, we've tried doing some different things. One of which is asking people what the most important thing in life is to them. Half the time we get weird looks and they just scurry away (people lately have been colder than the weather..) But when they do answer, we have heard things like-- time, confidence in oneself, relationships, being happy. The one that hit me the most was TIME. We all have the exact same amount of time. 24 hours in a day, 7 days in a week and 52 weeks in a year. No one gets more or less, regardless of circumstances. BUT HOW WE USE THAT TIME MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE. I have started to realize more and more how short of a time we all have. A year and a half is turning out to be not nearly as long as I thought it was. Every week flies by. I love life because I have a purpose; we all do. It's to help bring others to Christ, to try to live the way He did. Not necessarily the easiest thing, but it's what we were given time for!
Just got transfer calls and I'm staying in KAWASAKI!! I'll be training a new missionary and serve as a Sister Training Leader. Excited, but it will be a crazy next 6 weeks! These past 9 weeks (long transfer) have been awesome with Sister Walker who will be heading off to another part of the mission.
Steak PDay--way more meat than I've seen in over a year.
