Reporting back after another week in the mission field. We had another week full of miracles here in Cacem! This upcoming weekend we have a couple investigators in our district that our getting ready to be baptised which is really exciting. We worked hard day in and day out to find people to teach and taught 19 new people this week! When we set goals and make promises with the Lord to do all of our part he will do the rest.
This week on tuesday we saw a huge miracle where we did a street contact with an Antonio from Cabo Verde. He didnt seem to interested to talk with us when we asked if we could meet another day so we just asked if he wanted to come and get a tour of the church real quick and he accepted! We went straight there from the principal road of the city and taught him the third lesson after the tour. He accepted baptism and we taught him almost every day that week and he came to stake conference with us on Sunday! Was a super cool experience and gave me the desire to talk with absolutely everyone in the streets and never stop searching for the elect of God!
We had 5 other investigators at church as well which was a blessing. Stake conference was super uplifting, the theme was personal sacrifice and they talked about the pioneers. Afterwards we had lunch with a member, two returned missionaries that served in portugal and the wives, was really nice.
This week we had a workshop with the assistants to the president about how we can better our work. The mission had a goal of 75 baptisms per months and we still havent reached it, President and the Mission believes September will be the month. This upcoming week we will have Zone Conference in Amadora but i have to renew my Visa so i will visit another Zone the following day.
This week for pday we hiked through the Portuguese rainforest in Sintra that leads to the Castello Dos Mouros and it was super cool! I repped the Canada shirt and the rocks and trees reminded me more of the Whiteshell than anything ive seen here in portugal up to date which was nice.
The work here has been busy and we have been seeing the Lords hand in our work frequently which has strengthened my testimony of this gospel.
I'm grateful to be out here and will keep on truckin!
