Good to see you made it to Brazil. We're all expecting great things. . . .
Our daughter Lindsey got called to serve in the Argentina Córdoba Mission and entered the MTC last week. She loves it! We hear they have problems getting visas to Argentina too, so Loni and I have been watching to see when you make it to Brazil. :)
Sister Whitney Wallace from our stake got her mission call to the Mexico Culiacan Mission and enters the Provo MTC this next Wednesday.
FYI, you and your brother, Elder Allen, have more people following your mission on the MyMission.com website than any other missionaries. Elder Allen has 54 and you have 51. You must have lots of friends.

Your letters are the highlight of my week. I look forward to them with much anticipation. You are such a faithful, valient servant. I love reading your experiences and how much you listen to the Spirit and because you do....the blessings that follow. Those sweet people you are meeting have been waiting for Sis. Allen. We have loved the rain we have had the last few days. It seems to have cooled things down....well, a little!! We have been able to go to the cabin and because of the rain up in that part of the vineyard.....it's sooo beautiful. The wild flowers and up to our knees. We are busy serving in the Gateway Ward. Truly it feels like a mission....sometimes.....but I get to sleep in my own bed and see my grandkids in their activities.....doesn't get much sweeter than that. The Gilbert Temple is making great progress but we still haven't heard when the open house will be. At the ASU game the other night, I had the priviledge of teaching Cole the ASU hand sign....go ASU. He was tired and the constant fireworks were wearing on him...( we won like 54-0)...so I thought that was a good distraction. Well, Sister Allen, you are always in our prayers and we are sooo proud of you. We love you and know that you are in good hands.....our Savior!!
